Meh. Good enough with food and clearly cleaner and better than a standard Crona, but still nothing I'd really enjoy past the refreshment phase. Non-offensive is the key :)

I've been to several Mexican parties and while many of them drink Corona or Modelo or even Bud, a select few had this on hand and I have to say it was rather enjoyable. Grainy aroma, light herbs, and just a touch buttery. Spicy hops on the palate, just a bit more butteryness, sweet corn and cinnamon (??). Not bad. -

More left-overs from the Triple-Blind Lager Tasting event that me and my wife hosted this weekend (and well attended by a great bunch of SD local's). And while I later joked that the very last thing that I wanted was a bunch of left-over pissy Lagers taking up space in my `fridge, I do have to admit that this particular beer went down pretty well, to beat back the rather oppressive heat-wave that San Diego county has been expirencing since.
A very marginal beer -- about par for the course for something like this really. That is to say, I'm pretty sure you won't find too many South Of The Border locals drinking this (in Baja Norté, or anywhere else, for that matter)..., but I'm betting it's a favorite of the gringos that swarm across the border each weekend.
And I can't say that I blame them. Not as interesting as my personal North-West Mexican favorite (i.e. Tecate), but not as stoopid (sic) as Corona or Pacifico, IMO. Enough of a thirst-quencher to accept glossing-over of the rather dull appearence, aroma, and mouthfeel.
Not a winner, by any means. But not too horrible, overall. Kills a thirst -- nothing more.
