Poured into glass from bottle. Straw hue with creamy white head. Aroma is straw, sulphur, white peppercorn. Mouthfeel is great with medium light body and zesty carbonation. Taste is dry throughout with bitter sulphur following and a clean finish. Overall this is a nice brew.

Another decent entry from Mehana. A darkening amber beer with better than average head which never totally dissapeared. No lacing. A dry malty aroma that was perhaps a little too weak but pleasant enough with a bit floral added. Good mild matly taste and some weak hops in the background made this stuff pretty smooth but a tad lacking in flavour. Drink this ice cold or while lashing out at friends with death threats. Emptied the glass quite quick. I'd have no problem have a case in the house.

I've had good luck in the past with the Mehana beers, and can't say that I was too disappointed with this one either. Would have been nice if it was a bit more assertive and "punchier", but overall not a bad drop.
Very pale and clear -- rather minimalistic in the foam production and head retention, though. A bit shy in the aroma department, too.
For the flavor profile and mouthfeel, this is clean enough to let Noble hops do their duty in fine form. I would have liked to see this a bit more dry and hoppy, but I guess that would push it more towards a Pilsener (not a bad fault, of course, but probably not what the brewmaster was shooting for). But for what this works with, it does a good job.
There are a lot of different American Lagers here in Hawaii, but this was I think does stand a bit higher than the rest, overall. Recommended.
