The distant drums of change are thumping, signaling the coming of chilling frosts, falling leaves and ghoulish screams. In a patch ripe with orange glow, Wilhelm Scream awakens and unleashes his season-stirring call for fall. His revelers listen for his echo across the ripened dancing days and prepare their seasonal celebration of harvest and ale. Wilhelm Scream is ripe with fall flavors of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and caramel malts. Medium-bodied and the color of orange setting suns, it finishes similar to the way we finish summer: with just a hint of bitterness. Malts: Pale, Victory, Caramel 80L, Caramel 120L Hops: Apollo, Nugget Additives: Pumpkin, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Allspice

Part of their Night of the Living Dead variety 12-pak purchased in Vermont. Pours a clean amber colour with a beige head, average retention and minimal lacing. Aromas of nutmeg and light cinnamon. The toasted pumpkin is felt in the taste at first, with some bitterness in the middle and mild spices lingering. Not a bad pumpkin spiced ale with more hop than usual, taking over the pumpkin.

Pours clear, dark coppery with a fairly thick but effervescent buff head. Malty aroma has a firm pumpkin note and hints of spice. Flavor bursts with fall - pumpkin, cinnamon, cloves, lightly toasted malt, a hint of hops. Mouthfeel features average body and fizz, but it does go down nicely. Answer the Call for Fall any time of year.

Amber pour with a thin white head. Minimal lace. Very nice spice and nutmeg aroma. Mouthfeel was a little thin. Taste was mostly spice with a little bit of clove. For the price paid I would say this beer is a miss.

This is a good all-around pumpkin ale. Mild on the spice with a semi-creamy texture. An amber to medium brown appearance. I am not the biggest fan of this style, as usually hit- or miss....but this is one that I would consider next fall.

A cloudy rustic orange colored beer with a big sudsy textured, orange-white head rising above. There's good hang time on the head. Bubbles rise in the body. A thick ringlet is left. The pumpkin spices are evident in the profile, but not over bearing. There's a grassy finish on a light-medium beer.
