This beer truly defies style. A portion of the fermentable sugars that make up this beer come from beet sugar. Real beet extract is used which gives the beer a beautiful light red color. It’s body is inviting and the taste is smooth. Hops are barely perceivable and are there to balance out the sweetness from the malt.

The beer pours a flourescent red, with a pinkish head. No lacing. Aroma is sugar and grains. Average mouthfeel . Flavor is sweet grains, earthy hops. It doesn't smell or taste like beets, but they say that's what it is.

This poured a very light ruby to pink color with a white head. The aroma contains some beets and berries. The flavor well there is not much flavor to speak of. Some berries and citrus do come through in the flavor. The finish is watery. Overall its a refreshing beer but not much to it.

pours a funny color of red with not much head. A slightly sweet tasting beer. With no aftertaste at all. As a mild hint of Cherry in the taste. Slightly hoppy taste at first.

Little to no aroma, with a rocky, one-finger head and golden-red color. Medium-bodied, syrupy mouthfeel, with a funky, sweet malt flavor and slight wheat aftertaste. I will probably try this again, but nothing to write home about.

A light crystalline orangey amber colored beer. A medium sized creamy textured, white ead rises above. Some hang time. And a nice lacing of a cape atop the body. An unpleasant, rancid fruity smell. Getting turned off. The body is light, nearly watery. The tasting is a mismatching cornucopia of spices, fruit and malt. Drinkable. I’ll finish it.

This one sounds strange but is really quite good. Interesting light read color and pinkish white head. Medium mouthfeel makes for smooth drinking. The flavor was nothing that struck you but was not unpleasent in the least. While I wouldn't seek this one out I found it an interesting beet and nicely unusual

After pouring my wife said it looks like watered down beet juice, spot on. Lots of straw and bland malts. Body had a light reddish hue and the cap was slightly pink, not much lace was left behind. Flavor was similar to the aroma grass with some bland malts, some sweetness shows. Overall my first beer of the Magic Hat summer series is kinda ... eh.

Everything was fine until our power grid was shut off by Dickless here. .. . Pours a red cabbage ruby .. . whiffs of guava and subdued cherry and sugar .. . a weird beer for sure, refreshing but not altogether smooth .. . lacing is top notch .. . the bitterness is what i think is a bit off, a nice beer but different .. . Is this true? .. . Yes, it's true... This man has no dick.

Crazy. Pours a clear red - like Red Dye #5 or some such thing. No head - no lacing, but decent carbonation. Slightly sweet without any real discernable flavor. Drinkable, but just didn't hit the spot - and not what I was expecting from a summer beer.

Presentation: It was poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass. Appearance: It pours a shocking but beautiful reddish/pink rose like color with very good clarity a fizzy bright white head. The head slowly fades down to a thin wispy ring of lace. Smell: The aroma is light and dull. It has an odd sweetness with pale bland malt notes and no hops. Taste/Mouth: Its flavor is much the same as the aroma. There is a pale malty body with some mild candy like sweetness, light grain and light fruity/vegetable notes. There are some mild hops in the finish that adds a little contrasting bitterness and flavor. It is light bodied with a thin watery texture and fizzy carbonation. Notes: I wanted really to like this beer but overall it just didn't have much to offer, other than it had an interesting color.
