Crisp, malty, slightly fruity aroma is a little better than many lagers I have sampled. It pours a clear, dark copper with a fine-bubbled, if not too persistent, pale tan head. Crisp, malty flavor has a firm note of apple and just a hint of pear - and is that a touch of hops? Texture is about average, but overall this is a refreshing beer. Good for a party or paired with a light meal.

poured a light amber color with a thin white head and a small amount of lacing. A malty aroma. Has a slight sweet taste with a nice maltiness. Small hint of citrus hops in the aftertaste.

Well, I think it is official....just not that big of a fan of Magic Hat. Their beer is ok, just seems a little pricey for what it is....which is pretty much average. Got this in my 2nd Variey pack (Spring '11 Classics). Maybe the winter variety pack had a better variety. Gonna say it one last time, but finding Sammy Adams better across the board for styles. This one could use a little more malt flavor. Seems like most of Magic's brews could use just a bit more of something. Semi-rusty/skunky or whatever you wanna call it. Mouthfeel is decently smooth, but again, could be smoother/ or a bit crisper...or whatever. I have been getting into these Northeast brewers over the past 6-12 months, but thinking it's time to look back towards the West Coast.

I picked this beer up at Fresh Market in Roanoke, VA. This beer was a decent Vienna lager. There was nothing spectacular about it but it was a fine offering by Magic Hat just the same.

This poured an amber color with a moderate head. The aroma was malty with some caramel and nuttiness going on. The flavor was rather one dimensional with some caramel and maybe a hint of citrus. Overall an ok session brew but nothing amazing.

Not a bad beer by any means, but not very exciting. Pours a bright reddish amber colour with a little off white head. Aroma is malty, sweet and biscuity. Taste is slightly bready, but light in every other way. Sort of lifeless and not very exciting. Just a straight forward vienna.

since the regular lineups from MH have started coming out, my enthusiasm has dropped... a vienna? ok... light ruby, low head .. light maple and some caramel .. why so many local weather updates?light bitterness, but its a vienna , so who cares.. . simple.. lackluster .. has an annoying aftertaste .. . Remember that show 'My Three Sons'? It'd be funny if it was called 'My One Dad'... wait, what?

A bold amber colored beer. A small light tannish foamy head rises above. Some hang time, slowly fading into a a very thin ringlet of soap. Toasted malt and nuts on the nose. A medium bodied, healthy carbonated creaminess in the body. Mostly malt, toasted as in the nose. Citrus hops, subtlely kick in in the aftertaste. Not bad.

Beautiful clear amber pour with a thinnish white head and some lazy lacing. Sweet and malty aroma with a touch of bread and little hops. Taste is a tad too sweet but very smooth with a nice maltiness and not much detectable hops bitter.
