09.15.04 750ml bottle. Light, bright, oakey gold. Fizzy white head leaves quickly. Spicey and juicey aromas of cinnamon, pepper, canned apple pie filling, sopapilla(?), rotten tomato. Body is very light and lively. There is honey, no doubt, and some lemony, appley sweetness and zing. Reminds me somehow of honey-lemon cough drops. Clean and quick finish but slightly chemical. I get the feeling that I might like this less if I was not slightly congested right now. At the price, I was disappointed.

Pale amber and bright white head. Aroma is mainly honey, hints of orange fruit and flowers. Flavor makes me think of sopapillas with the fried bread, honey, butter and cinamon. Nice dry malt in support of honey. Not too sweet, but sweetness builds as it warms. It's best when it's chilled, but not ice cold and before it warms up too much. Clean finish.

Purchased while at the Magic Hat Brewery. Great golden color and a light honey aroma. Carbonation stirs up the mouth and brings on a strong honey flavor while sipping. Complex flavors, but the honey dominates. Magic Hat does a fine job with all of its beers, but I'd rather have a Leinenkugel (WI) Honey Wheat over this one. Both are equally hard to get here in Delaware.

Yellowish in color. Clear. Lots of honey. Lots of stuff going on here. Fruity. Excellent. Champagne like.

Whats a braggot? Cloudy glowing yellow with a big egg shell head. Smells much like instant quaker oatmeal apples and cinnamen and even dryer sheets. Tastes exactly like the quaker apples and cinnamen oatmeal. Especially when you chew on the dried apple pieces before adding water.

Bright yellow color with a smallish white head. Apple cider aroma with initial taste of cinnamon apple oatmeal. Tasted like liquid applesauce.

Cask... Poured a cloudy golden color with no head though it did leave spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweet caramel apples and cinnamon. Taste was malty sweet honey with juniper and pine. Light alcohol was noticed. This was a very weak mead.

Cloudy orange gold color topped by a huge white head that disappears quickly. Slightly sweet but very sour aroma similar to champagne. Slightly sweet and sour flavor , also very champagne like. Very high amount of carbonation tingles the tongue and some dryness is noticed. Everything about this samplereminds me of champagne. Even when I popped the cork the bottle overflowed with foam.

Love the bottle on this one. I thought it was black but once it was empty, light came through in an emerald green color. Not that it really matters, but it's a cool bottle. I struggled with the star covered cork for a little before yanking it out. I was half expecting to see a clever rhyme on the bottom of the cork. Oh well. A healthy champage-like pop and it was ready to pour. A golden bodied braggot with a thick fluffy head to top it off. The aroma is honey and spice. The first sip reminded me of an apple cider with honey in it. This is very, very good stuff. It has a generous amount of carbonation that plays with the tongue. This is very crisp, very clean. I saw this in the store for weeks and kept passing up on that $18 price tag. After trying it, I know that I would spring the $18 for another bottle next time I see one. Thanks to Magic Hat for being so damned experimental, great stuff. Not quite a beer, not quite a wine, but quite good if you ask me. Don't be cheap, give it a try.
