Pours pitch black with a very nice head that left behind a thick lace. Scent is chocolate, caramel, toffee, and...green apples? Taste is okay but a bit of a let-down given what I was expecting. It's not bad, but not great. It's too one-dementional. Lots of the caramel/coffee/roasted malt tastes but it needs some more hops or something. Mouthfeel could stand to be a bit thicker and maybe add some minerals to it. Overall, this is a decent Stout but it falls short of what it could be.

Nice appearance. The dark copper-brown body is black until closer inspection and the head is sandy and healthy. It lasts nicely and leaves behind a fine lace. The aroma has a nice bit of roast to it, but the body is a bit weak. The roast is still there, but more chocolate and oak. Slight lingering bitterness in the finish. Very easy drinking, but leaves you wanting more.

Black color, medium head. Soft mocha flavor, roasted malts some hoppyness. Nice finish, some maltyness, no residual sweetness.

Out of the bottle. Fresh baked bread and some coffee aroma. Flavor starts out sour and mellows a little. Almost no head and a fairly thin mouthfeel. There are better ones in the style.

Dark black in color, huge foamy brown head that leaves some lacing in my glass, roasty chocolate-coffee aromas. Chocolate milk coffee flavors, decent roasted bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied with a full and creamy mouthfeel, a pretty tasty stout.

Very nice looking stout..dark dark brown just a shade away from pure black..great frothy and thick tan coloured head. Aroma is a let down..its sort of one dimensional sourish milk..some hops. Taste too is one dimensional..dark chocolate bitterness..with some acidic hints. Very thin for a stout on the palate. Not very drinkable..I'm very dissapointed with this after the good looks
