Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6

This one has traditionally been the thinnest of Norwegian "klasse F" Yule/Christmas beers - the brewery made a slightly darker brew this year. Not as bad the ratings in Norwegian newspapers tell you. Reasonably malty, nutty, some caramel/toffee.

Clear reddish brown with a rich tan-coloured head. Sweet aroma of marzipan, nuts and dades. Sweet and malty flavour of cocoa-powder, marzipan and nuts with a sweet malty finish. Almost no bitterness.

Bottled. Dark amber colour, with big beige bubblish head. Aroma of dry fruits, plum and cookies. Christmassy indeed. Flavour is bittersweet plummy, hoppy and weak roast. Palate is quite watery. Also malts noteable. Quite ok, but it lacks something in both flavour and palate...
