An American version of the Belgian style. This unfiltered beer has a striking translucent, golden color with white clouds. Seemingly a contradiction in terms, it has a full body mouth-feel but is surprisingly light to drink. Topped with a hint of citrus, provided by Coriander and a secret blend of Humbolt herbs, this beer is slightly sweet and a delight to drink in any season.

Wow, this is sure toned down! Eons ago I fell in love with a brew called Cape Blanco Mist, from Lost Coast. A simply wonderful belgian style that they had changed names on to Great White because they figured nobody knew where Cape Blanco was. Sadly, the name ain’t the only thing that morphed. Or I had a bad bottle. CB tasted fresh with lots of spicy coriander in the flavor. GW has hints of coriander. Pours a good head, which quickly upon starting to drink. Tangy aftertaste which stays on the pallate a bit. Nothing special in the aroma. Cloudy appearence as expected. Will probably try it again, and maybe from tap to see if this was an older batch I had in the bottle.

Pours golden to straw with a hint of haze and weak white head. The aroma is mild with candy apples, malt sweetness and a dash of lemon. The taste is much like the nose with malt sweetness mixed with candied apples and lemon. But now a nice floral hop flavor and a touch of bitterness intertwine with the other notes creating a pleasing array of flavors.

Large white head that quickly dissipates. Lightly hazy pale gold color. Big coriander nose with a touch of malt. Light bodied, undercarbonated for the style. Plenty of spices in the flavor department, light fruityness and maybe a hint of oats? Finish is fairly dry, sorta thin, but still a tasty little critter. Good summer swillin.

Pours hazy topaz with a thick, though ephemeral, snowy head. Aroma offers tart citrus, coriander, and subtle malty notes. Flavor presents citrus, coriander, fresh malt - and is that a touch of hops? Texture delivers fair body and fizz. Take a bite!

Pours a hazy golden orange color with tiny little white head, which becomes an even thinner ring of bubbles around the edge and leaves no lacing. The aromas that are dominanting things are coriander and lemons. A bit of wheat and spice. The taste is fairly tame and boring. A touch of spice and lemon and a bit of yeast. The mouthfeel is very light in body and carbonation was good.

Had this years ago when I really started getting into craft beer. Forgot to review, so a little rusty on this one. Remember it being one of my least favorite Lost Coast's at the time....but then again, wheat's are one of my least preferred styles. Recall it as an average at best wheat....a little heavier compared to the European hefs. Had some flavor....refreshing for summer but that's probably about as far as it goes...especially with all that is out there now.

I can't believe it. This is another white beer that I like. OK. Like maybe too strong. I think I prefer it because it was a free tasting at a local beer event. That being said, it is at least a palate cleanser. Somthing to clense me mouth between the real beers. Light, fluffy and clean. What's not to like?

Pours a light amber cloudy appearance. Flavor is mild, goes well with a meal but most likely is not dynamic enough flavor wise to be a good standalone drinking experience. I enjoyed it, but it will not be a perennial favorite.

This one falls short because it doesn’t try hard enough. An effervescent golden colored beer. Practically no head. What was there was soapy in texture and white in color. Disappears all to disappointingly quickly. No lacing. An aroma and matching flavoring of bread, yeast, pepper, lemon and coriander. It’s not bad, it just seems like the beer is holding something back.
