Little Anomaly is our addition to the low-calorie IPA genre. Legend has it that we noticed one thing while sipping and sampling the growing field of low-cal IPAs: big hop flavor is an anomaly. Fast-forward to development and our crew nailed down the elusive attributes of the IPAs we enjoy so much. Hazy, juicy and full of big, bold flavors from Mandarina Bavaria, Simcoe, Columbus and Centennial hops. All wrapped up in 110 calories of crushable content.

    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7

Part of a 12-pack IPA sampler. Hazed, light golden-yellow colour with a big fluffy-bubbly white head, decent stay and leaving some foamy spots of lacing. Herbal fresh hop aromas over a touch of citrus and oats. The taste is where it shows a lighter IPA at 3.8% ABV with some decent citrus notes. It just does not have the full mouthfeel. A nice easy-going, refreshing light IPA.

    Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

Nose: Pineapple, bubblegum, cotton candy. Hazy pale peach colored body topped by a thin head with minimum retention and no lace. Mouth is moderate bodied with a lot of fizz. So, OK, this is a low alcohol and lower calorie effort. This is more drinkable than most such brews. Tropical notes in the middle followed by some sour and finishes dry with a bit of bitter. Some pineapple, some lemon pith, some pepper, some grass. Giving flavor an 8 (if it was a regular IPA it would be a 5). While being lower in alcohol than most of the low alcs I have tried this one does NOT just taste like hop water so for that...well done.
