On tap at Gas Oil Restaurant in Portsmouth, NH. Cloudy pale orange color, little head or lacing. Aroma and flavor were light citrus notes in a wheaty base. A slight tart zing finished this off. There were very little spicey notes in this one as it probably could have passed for an American Wheat. Ok.

Nose of citrus, predominately orange, and honey, cloudy (but could be more cloudy) body of pale gold is topped by a disappointingly smallish white head that leaves no lace. Mouth is not as slick and not as tingly as it should be for this style and is a touch too thin. Flavor is mostly citrus with some nice wheat, some nice sourness in mid taste, generally a sweet overall taste that finishes clean and fairly dry. Its missing some coriander and mostly it is missing yeast, yeast that is not prevalent in the appearance or the flavor and is missing some sourness. Not a bad effort but not outstanding in any way (and I also think it wouldn't hurt to kick the abv up a bit)

Mar 14, 2009 Mildly citrus aroma. Beautiful sparkling rolling appearance. Very appetizing. Looks like gingerale with fine streams of effervescence. Friendly first taste impressions. Like-able. Very good carbonatio, citrusy bite. Has some farmy attitude and wet hat too. Toward the end of the bottle there is a swirling sediment from the bottom. Virtually no bitterness but there is a subtle industrial background lurking in there. Overall quite a good experience.

I have always thought that the best beers were the deep colored, strongly flavored Porters and Pale Ales, and never before gave anything lighter than a lager a chance. This beer may change my opinion greatly! It was very smooth and flavorful, the citrus notes coming through strongly. I did not add any additional fruit. It just plain tasted good. Great beer for summer, a good one to have when you're having more than one. (Was it Schlitz that had a similar slogan?)
