I have to admit that I have been spending more and more time at the Huether house Lion brewery the last year...and this lager is a good part of the reason...there have been major changes in this brew pub with the addition of 2 new brewers ( One a certified brewer from Germany)...and the entire line of beers have taken on a new fresh malty chracter they never had before. I was made aware that the most of the recipes were totally reworked and the process changed to a longer cold lagering cycle. This beer seems to be all the better for the changes. Aroma is now much like a rich Dortmunder golden lager...malty, toasty, light wet hay and lemony tones Flavor profile is big malts up front with a light herbal bittering and a nice biscuit malt drying finish with a lemony snap at the end ...a very decent all malt crafted German session lager An I have "sessioned" with it extensively the last year. ;-)
