Innkeeper ! A Rousse for these weary travelers. If this frankly uplifting, caramel character can't cheer these souls, none can !

341 ml capped bottle. Poured a clear ruby-brown coloured lager with a one finger tan foamy head that had a long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is sweety roasted malts, dark ripe fruits, raisins, plums and nutty. The flavour is sweety roasted and burned malts, grainy, a lot of caramel, molasses, fruity, berries, grapes, nuts. The mouthfeel is sweety and quite thin. This medium bodied lager has a dry burned/toasted caramel finish. A decent and easy drinkable lager.

Poured out a large off white cap of moderate thickness, simmers to light coverage, small amounts of slippery lacing, clear copper brew. Big, rich roasted aromas are everywhere, I was surprised at the strength of this brew upfront. Caramel and biscuit, dark fruit nose that reminds me of fruit leather... is there any hops at all to be found? Very rich flavours of roasted malts, caramel and biscuit, that tang of the fruit is more available to enjoy than when cold, dark fruit (maybe those black plums), background candy. Weak bitterness comes through at the back of the sip, vanishes and then resurrects itself early in the after taste. Finishes quite nice. I’d drink this again.
