Pours opaque sable that lets a bit of ruby light peek through at the very bottom. Tan head is fairly thick but makes an early exit. Strong aroma has rich molasses and roast malt notes plus hints of chocolate and dark fruit. Flavor bursts with molasses, charred malt and roast quality coffee; cocoa, dark fruit and a little caramel provide the background tones. Texture has firm, smooth body, though fizz is lacking. Recommended if you can find it.

Rich and fruity all around with accents of toffee and vanilla. Delving deeper into this brew provides nice layers of dark berries, anise and bread. Medium to full bodied, and warming. Sweet and fairly complex all the while being boldly balanced and relatively clean. Murky amber~brown body, diminishing head and thick spots of lacing. Very enjoyable and would have thrown 7.5's at this if possible. Thanks Greg!

pours a cystal clear crimson red with a fairly big head that dissapears fairly quickly. Light roasted aroma with hints of toffee. Taste is fairly light conpaired to other baltics. Hints of coffee, toffee, and a noticable hint of nuts. Fairly metallic at first but seems to absorb into the pallet a lot better after about a 1/4 a bottle. Finishes off quite dry. overall not the best baltic I have had but it deserves a small spot in the fridge.

Thanks for adding this beer Lou, I have been lazy lately. Another good showing for the Big Eddy series, not an over the top entry to the field but a good beginner Baltic to introduce new comers to the style. It was a bit thin for me but I can see what they are trying to do and I appreciate it.

From heybeerman. Near black pour, tight tan head, good lacing. Lightly roasted malt aroma, molasses, toffee, very lightly nutty, earthy. Nice flavors of roasted and molasses sweet malts, burnt toffee, roasted nuts, earthy hops. Nice Baltic Porter - a very cool style and this one is nicely crafted.
