A spiced strong ale using all natural ingredients, including crushed cinnamon, chopped ginger, orange zest, cardamom, and cloves. The addition of locally harvest clover honey, coupled with the sparing use of hops, creates the illusion of a liquid cake. Paris with the Christmas Goose! A seasonal only ale available starting in November. (Previously known as Left Hand XXXMas Ale.)

A dark caramel brown colored medium bodied ale. I noticed strong aromas of ginger and cinnamon and quite spicy flavors of nutmeg and ginger with a hint of sweet honey. A delicious tasting beer but the spices seem to have a somewhat strong presence in the bottle.

Sadly, in Alabama we still have to get these size bottles from elsewhere. Never-the-less, this one pours deep mahogony with a moderate head and good lacing. The mouthfeel is medium. The flavor really saves this one although the spice - ginger - comes through strong.

Sampled from bottle. Pours dark brown with a thin head. Mild raisin, honeysuckle aroma. The flavor resembles a gingerbread cookie. Sweet, with a fairly high final gravity. Full-bodied with moderate to high carbonation. Interesting and enjoyable.

Pours dark brown with perfect clarity and small, scattered head. Aroma is strong with nutmeg and cinnamon. Flavor is also dominated by spice, but the base beer adds decent depth with hearty malt and honey. Finish is on the sweet side. Medium bodied with gentle carbonation. Not a fan of the style, but this particular beer was drinkable.

Pours a dark, nearly opaque, almost sable mahogany with a fine-bubbled, light tan head. Rich, malty aroma has an overtone of cloves and cinnamon and a hint of molasses. Flavor is malty and spicy, undertone of cloves and cinnamon, touch of sweetness and hint of licorice and cinnamon candy. Texture is very smooth, almost syrupy, and leaves a slightly sweet, slightly hoppy, cinnamony aftertaste.

On tap at the Bocktown, nice place. Fairly dark appearance with a nice creamy head. Barely any aroma, just a relatively clean beery olfactory. Not much if any carbonation on the palate. Taste is a little medicinal in nature. Some fermented fruit background with unidentifyable spices. Lingering alky finish, hangs around for a while. S5L3T4F1O7

Aroma is sweet with some maltiness as well as caramel with some faint chocolate overtones. Appearance is a dark, rich burgundy in color when held to the light with a full head on top that is light-tan in color and dissipates. Mouthfeel is medium in body and quite complex with a palate that is robust. Flavor is of some spice and chocolate with some toffee in the aftertaste and has a finish that is full and a bit alcoholic and tasty. Overall, good Christmas ale here with faint hop bite which switches it up a bit

This one poured a dark copper color with a frothy white head. It had a spicy aroma with hints of cinnamon. The flavor consisted of cinnamon and nutmeg. Had a dry finish. This was real nice.

I rank this beer a lot highier than I thought I would of. For being 7.6% is has a very strong alcohol smell and flavor. very Spicy but balanced at the same time. Odd but Tasty...
