Southern Hops’pitality is our offering of delicious cheer to Lazy Magnolia’s loyal fans all over the Southeast. A traditional IPA at its core, we have built Southern complexity into this new brew. The aroma is a bold citrus burst on the front end with hints of tropical fruits such as grapefruit, orange and mango in the finish. Lazy Magnolia’s brewers used a unique hop blend for an exciting dry-hoped aroma. Southern Hops’pitality has a Light Straw color and crisp, smooth finish on the palate. With an alcohol content right at the 6% ABV limit and a very hoppy 60 IBUs, Southern Hops’pitality is breaking new ground for Lazy Magnolia and the Magnolia State.

A little better than I expected, based on the lower ABV% and IBU. Seemed hoppier than 60 IBU, and decent quality from the dry-hopping. The balance is what seemed a little off though, thus drags down the rating a few points. Texture and feel could also be a little cleaner, but overall slighty above average for an IPA. The single sample was good...just don't know if I'd get a 6 of this.

I picked this beer up from the Kroger in Salem, VA. This was a REALLY nice IPA. I was hesitant to try another from them given the Pecan Brown Ale (just meh). I'm glad I gave this brewery another shot. This beer was fantastic. The beer was super floral and citrusy. Not a piney IPA. Closest comparison, Bell's Two Hearted. Exceptional beer. Well Done.

A cloudy orange colored beer with a bid frothy textured off white colored beer rising robustly above. There's decent hang time on the head. It settles eventually into splotches of film and thick ringlet. A light nose of hops and fruitiness. Clear, crisp citrus on the tasting. Some bready malt. Crisp, effervescent.

The aroma is juicy, tropical and bright with some notes of mango, pineapple and a touch of peach. Interesting and nice.In the taste I get more of a bitter, resiny, citrus rind flavor to it. A little of the juicy, tropical fruit flavors come out but they seem to clash a little with the bitter citrus rind flavors. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with carbonation being moderate. Overall it was a pretty good beer, the different hop flavors just didn't seem to come together as well in the taste as they did in the aroma.

Off the tap at Loda Biergarten in Mobile - draws a hazy golden-light orange color with a moderate crisp white head. Laces very well with aroma of citrus and maybe a light apricot (description says "mango", but seemed more apricot to me). Clean finish with anough malt to back it up.

Comes out of the tap a somewhat hazy honey golden with a thick, fine-bubbled ivory head. Aroma is not strong but quite hoppy with a citrus undertone. Flavor is much better than what the aroma promises - seriously hoppy yet not too bitter, more evergreen than woody, with citrus and, yes, mango notes. Texture has good firmness and a strong fizz, and boldly hoppy finish adds to the delight. A worthy brew, recommended to all IPA fans.

This poured a golden color with a faint white head. Aroma contains pine and lemons. Flavor is bitch smakin bitter. Someone let a hop head loose in mississippi mercy. This one is not for beginners. Pine and more pine. Lemons and orange peels all day. Balance is not the goal here and I love it.
