Not too shabby. Medium to full bodied and fairly smooth. ABV provides stregth of flavor but little heat. Lots of coffee and malted milk chocoldate up front with a low dose of bittering hops. Enjoyable fo sho.

Pours nearly opaque black with a bit of brown around the edges. A minimal beige head forms, and recedes to nothing in a second.Aromas of roasted malts up front, acidic and acrid coffee, biscuit, light chocolate. Flavors of roasted malts are up front with a nice balance with the coffee and chocolate flavors. Bread and biscuit. Pretty standard, but enjoyable. A full body with good carbonation. Crisp, but smooth at the same time. Easy enough to drink. The alcohol is not noticeable, and a nice sipper.

Smoky, woody aroma has a decided overtone of roast quality coffee. Pours an opaque coffee brown with a thick, fine-bubbled and rather persistent tan head. Earthy, smoky flavor has a decided fine coffee note and nutty, caramel and licorice hints. Smooth, firm texture has a decent amount of tingle and leaves a nice smoky, woody finish with a lively coffee note. All hail Anubis!

Shared bottle from KnoxBeerCrew tasting. Near black pour, tannish head which is sustained leaving ample lacing. Black coffee aroma, roasted malts, light brown sugar or molasses, very nice as it warms. A touch thin with the mouthfeel. Flavor is also coffee, a hint of cocoa, a touch of smoke, earthy hops. Tasty.

A deep ebony blackness in color. Big frothy textured brown head rises robustly above. Good hang time in the head. Settles into a ligh film and thick ringlet. The profile in aroma and tasting is burnt. A little too birnt and that throws the tasting off. I am getting more chocolate and molassess than I am coffee. Full bodied and smooth. Nice strong alcohol presence.

On tap at Rustico in Old Town Alexandria, VA. Among the best - bar none. Rich and bold, yet surprisingly smooth (esp. given alcohol content). Aroma of dark chocolate, toffee/caramel, coffee and I though just a hint of vanilla. Better as it warms. Deep black with a hint of mahagony in the light. Flavor matches aroma and produces a sensory delight. Truly and experience.
