A yellow appearance with a white head. Aroma contains some perfume, citrus, an aftersmell of marijuana. The flavor is very bitter with some lemons and some sour notes with a bit of funkiness going on. I checked the bottle to make sure it was "wild" and it is not. Overall very different but good.

Crystal clear honey brown with a tall creamy cap floating on top. Gawd dam this smells good, spicy hotness and tons of citrus, caramel malts, hints of leather. Man this is easy drinking pallet destroying yumminess. Almost medical hops, lemon, leather, sweet caramel malts are hiding under the massive bitterness. The speed in witch I'm drinking this is scary. The after taste has a burnt sugar quality. Pretty simple tasting and nicely balanced and not to pricey equals a good beer I will purchase again.

From my notes: Yeah, that's good. 8.5% of delicious. Citrusy, medium resin, and classic pine-fruit flavour. I like hoppy beers, I think maybe they've damaged my tastebuds, because this was a pretty easy drinking DIPA, and it's supposed to be 127 ibus?! Well done. Not a high-fiver, but not too bad for a Monday night.

not super impressed with this one - just too many great iipas on the market to buy this agian, but it was ok. aroma and flavor of pine and bready malts, with a little citrus and ample bitterness to back it up.

Amber colored body, with a mid sized cap that leaves some o.k. lace. Pine, grapefruit, and a slightly sweet bready malt round out the flavor. Nice carbonation and full mouthfeel. Overall its not terribly big or bold but a nice, and solid brew.

Not a bad beer, I must say. Picked this one up at Star the other day and really enjoyed it. Pours a clear golden orange color. Plenty of carbonation. Lots of tropical fruity esters. Pine and sap and fresh grass and pinecones and all that shit. Taste was hoppy but really pretty modest for an Imp. And really I don't think that was such a bad thing in this case.

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 6
Nearly clear golden color with tight white head and very nice lacing. Aromas include some grapefruits and sweet citrus, slight pine and earthiness, offset by a bit of the malts. Taste is same as the citrus aroma with a slight off-putting metallic flavor, very light, but still unwelcome, then a short bitter linger.

Strong resin aroma, some citrus and maybe a hint of cinnimon or allspice. Appearance is hazy with the slightest touch of orange hue to an otherwise golden beer. Mouthfeel is actually light for a DIPA, no real malt backbone on this one. Flavor is tons of pine resin and again, the maltiness is lacking. Not a bad IPA but not a front runner of the DIPA class.

Pours a clear amber color with a nice, nearly white head. Aroma is very citrus, pine aroma. Has a bit of a slick sweetness, but it's overpowered by strong hops. Really bitter. Good lacing. Some buscuit maltiness is coming out as it warms. Actually not that hard to drink considering how hoppy it is, and finding out that it was 8.5% abv half way into the bottle surprised me.

Pours a rather average, though appealing, clear amber with a very thick, fluffy, frothy and persistent white head that leaves some serious lacing. Aroma is strong and hoppy with a firm overtone of grapefruit and a hint of sweet orange. Flavor is fairly hoppy with an evergreen hint but just a little bitterness, as well as a strong citrus tone and some malty underpinnings. Edgy texture is rough and fizzy so it dances on the tongue and all the way down. This is indeed an "alpha dog" among Imperial IPAs!
