An English style Porter with added cocoa husks. This porter is of English style but is definitely on the stronger hopping side of a typical English porter. The cocoa husks add a nice chocolate note but also roast character so this porter is quite balanced out leaving a fairly medium dry finish with very little sweetness due to the bitterness of the hops and the roasted character. Jenny Lind has a medium body with rich wonderful notes of bitter chocolate, soft dark espresso roast, toasted bread or bread crusts and is balanced with an earthy hoppiness and roasty bitterness. This beer reminds me of chocolate cake without the icing, leaving it not too sweet.
