Clear dark brown turning towards black, highe light brown foam head. some lacing. Aroma is bit hard to specify, not the ususal bunch. Taste is quite nice, some metallic to it, some coffee, some licorice. Interesting beer. (Utrecht 201312)

Bottled (at Tuulensuu, Tampere). Quite much pitch black colour with a mediumsized longlasting off-white to beigeish head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malts, some slight chocolate as well as some dark berries. Flavour is being quite similar with also some mild smoked wet wooden notes to it. A rather wellbalanced Stout.

Bottle. Poured a deep ruby brown colored ale with a great creamy beige foamy head that had a good retention. The aroma is toasted malts, dark fruits. The flavour is sweet creamy coffee, light roasted malts, hints of bitter chocolate and a soft fruity sourness. The finish of this medium bodied ale is dry, bitter and ... peppery. A very interisting brew but I am not convinced that its style is a " stout ".

means "black harp" and made partially with buckwheat - clear dark brown colour with some floating yeast particules, few foam, malty and chocolatey nose with some smokey notes, sweet with a correct bitterness, very creamy mouthfeel, a touch of sourness in a moderately malty finish - subtle, balanced and very pleasant

Ok... last of the 8 beers my girlfriend brought back from her trip to Europe. Best before date is 31/03/07. Pours a deep brown-red with a creamy tanned head that has decent retention. Some patchy lace is left. The aroma is mostly of Belgian yeast, with hints of spices. Wow ! Did not expect that. A smoky kick right up front. Definitely is more of a rauchbier, than a stout. The buckwheat comes through in the finish. Hints of molasse are also found much later in the aftertaste. Very nice different light beer for a dark ale.

Bottle. Very dark brown with a large tan head. Aroma of roasted malts and coffee, with some raisin and wheat. Taste is malty and coffee, some bitterness in the finish. Light bodied, quite highly carbonated. Not bad, but doesn’t seem like a stout particularly.
