Pours a hazy orange with a rocky white head that lasts, and leaves soft lace on your glass as you sip this refreshing beer. American Cascade and Chinook hops dominate the aroma, yielding a citrusy, floral bouquet. The hops give a nice bitter bite to the flavor, but this beer is surprisingly well balanced with a full body and smooth malty flavor to back up the hops. It finishes smooth and crisp with a lingering hop flavor reminiscent of fresh ruby red grapefruit. Goes well with any spicy food, historically Indian food as well as Thai, Cajun, or Mexican. Try our IPA with Buffalo wings, blackened chicken or pepperoni pizza. Beef dishes or fried seafood can stand up to the hops as well. Ideal Serving Temp: 54-56° F

Cloudy orange pour with a fair amount of carbonation. Medium white head with citrus and fruit notes. Really nice balance of hops and malt. Enjoyed this one very much.

I had this beer at the ALoft in Milwaukee. This beer was a very good IPA. The aroma was subdued compared to the flavor (citrus, floral). I expected more but I did drink it out of the bottle. Overall, very nice beer.

Orange color with a white head. Aroma contains some pine, oranges, and lemons. Flavor is rather bitter with more oranges and lemons. Aftertaste is slightly bitter and piney. Overall a good session IPA.

It pours a shiny burnt-orange and amber with a thick and foamy white head and some sticky web-like lacing. An aroma of caramel malts, hops, pine, grapefruit and citrus, peach and mango, light bitterness and mild spiciness. The mouthfeel is smooth and fairly rich. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, grapefruit and citrus, pine and grass, peach and mango, bitterness and light spiciness. Excellent!

A dull orange colored beer with a moderate fluffy textured head rising above. There's some hangtime. Light film and medium ringlet are what areleft. Citric, pine, sweet grapefruit are the profile of this light, smooth bodied beer

Spicey grapefruit nose, not overpowering by any measure. The taste is more grapefruit and a slight bit of malt. The maltiness at the end almost makes this less of an IPA. Good flavor for sure but not really true to the style.

A beer of the month club entry for Jan/Feb 2011. Forget the grape fruit juice for breakfast! Lakefront IPA will make your breakfast just that more tasty with a delicious hoppy beer that goes equally well with french toast or coco crispies! This brew is full of citrus overtones great beery flavors. In fact forget the other breakfast stuff and just have the beer.

Very bright peachy copper body with a thin bubble ring floating on top. Very odd some chunky white stuff just fell from the bottle never seen that in an IPA before. Aroma is a yummy fuzzy peach, smooth malt and no trace of harsh bitter. Peachy hops, hints of pine, watery caramel malt that had some spice, excellent carbonation. A massive harsh bitter was hiding in the fish that begs you to keep on drinking more. The taste is excellent but seems held back by something, however this is still a top notch IPA.

From FIrefly. Poured a cloudy orange under a frothy off-white head. Aroma was hardly the best I've had from IPA, something was "off", like cabbage, but at least there were some pine notes, and damned little else positive. Flavour was also tainted by this cabbage-ness. After letting the glass rest for about ten minutes, I resumed. Flavour and finish had improved, although the aroma and mouthfeel still left something to be desired.

Sampled on 7/20/2010. This IPA pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is orange, citrusy and fruity. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are fruity, caramel and sweet. The hops are citrusy and floral. Nice carbonation. Hints of orange and orange peel throughout. A nice well balanced solid IPA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
