Lake Placid IPA is deep copper in color and brimming with hops from the first sniff to the final taste, balanced by just a touch of malty sweetness. Originally brewed as a winter seasonal, it quickly earned a place in our permanent line-up and is our most award winning brew.

Draft @ TJ's into a standard pint glass Poured a dark amber with a one-finger head. Lacing was present and moderate. It IS an attractive beer. Nose was not intense - floral, earthy, some citrus. Moderate carbonation was in evidence. As to taste, this tipped the scales toward VERY bitter - front to back. Yes, there was some citrus, some malt in the background, but no balance for me at all. Whatever subtleties were there were lost on me. Mouthfeel was meduim and not terribly oily or syrupy. At 6.8% this should be a very sessionable beer but it broiled every one of MY tastebuds with it's bitterness...so I will pass.

This was a damn good IPA. Not only was this beer filled with citrus hops, but it was super dirty. The first thing you notice when you pour this beer into a glass is how unfiltered it is. I prefer the unfiltered, orangy, and gritty IPAs over the clean and distilled ones. This beer was very good.

Another winner I picked up at State Line Liquors in MD: Pours a muddy orange colour with a noticeable amount of sediment in it. Lots of carbonation. Right from the getgo, I get loads of foam but it doesn't ruin the experience one bit. Full blown floral hops onthe nose. Fruity at the same time with a decent amount of citrus as well . Taste is astringent, yet firm and hop forward all the way. Nice beer!

Pours a light copper with a fluffy white head. Light aroma of floral and citrusy hops. Taste is obviously hoppy but with a nice malty backbone. Very well balanced and highly drinkable.

From a bottle. Pours a hazy copper with a big white head. Aroma is hoppy w/ a slight sweetness. Flavor is malty upfront, but has a nice hop aftertaste. A pretty good beer. Wouldn't mind having more of this.
