I don't understand why major breweries even bother with this stuff. Had this on tap tonight at a location where they serve all you can eat chicken wings. This was the only thing on tap that wasn't complete shite. Aroma was awful and the taste wasn't much better. Sickly sweet malts with a hint of soap (possibly the glass at the bar) Nothing i would ever drink again as i see no reason for this other than it isn't blue or canadian. No redeeming qualities and extremely unforgettable.

A decent Amber Ale. A responce to Rickard's.Good apperance, Average taste. Not much on it but a decent armoma and nice change at pubs from the old standards (Canadian, Blue, Ex)

Nothing overly special, quite average. Good red colour with some average head, decent semi-sweet aroma. Taste was pretty good, malts and perhaps some caramel in there. Weak mouthfeel, thin and highly carbonarted. Between Rickard's and Mick's, I cant really say one is that much better than the other.

no different really then rickard's. the two are the archetypes for red beer in canada. if you like this style and you like rickard's, then you'll like this.

Poured an amber-red colour with a descent head. Aroma was very light with hints of fruits. The taste had a bit more presence, with malt, fruits and slight toffee all mixed together. Carbonation was heavy and mouthfeel was thin. This is Labatt's answer to Molson's Rickard's Red. The two biggest Canadian macros attempt to red ales. I prefer Mick's as it is at least refreshing, and Rickard's gives me headaches.
