Celebrating rating 1900th with a special brew from a Trappist brewery. Pours a cloudy deep amber colour with a frothy beige head, good retention and creamy thin lacing. Big nutty nose with malts, caramel and hints of wood. Loads of fruits in the taste, starting with raisins, plums, heading for apples and goes into a little alcohol and coffee malt notes. An interesting strong ale with lots of character, but do not feel the Malbec too much. Not my thing, but worth trying.
