WAY too costly at $12.29 for a bomber, even if taxes and deposit are included. Pour of clear, medium gold. Good aroma, grapefuity and piney along with malt and a boozy content. Solid mouth. Flavour every bit as good as the nose, and damned hoppy enough. A hop bomb indeed, but a refined one. Balanced finish.

Orange/amber pour with a white blanket of foam. Sticky, resinous hops abound--notes of grapefruit, pine, and citrus. Lasting, intense bitterness. Only downside is that the high ABV is not better hidden.

I had this beer while in Davis, California. It was recommended to me as a Pliny the Elder clone. Close, but not exactly. This beer was very good in its own right - I got grapefruit and hibiscus. The nose on this beer was fantastic - all grapefruit. Very nice.

Big thanks to slowrunner77 for sending this my way. Amber/gold pour with nice carbonation and great sticky lacing. Deep aromas of tropical fruit - pineapple and mangoes. The label doesn't list the hops, but the aroma says Citra was involved somehow. Bruisingly bitter taste, west coast IPA style nailed, dry and cloying but with a substantial malt backbone so it is not overpowering. The IBUs show, but this is drinkable. Very well done. Thanks, Chris!

Sampled on 5/12/2012. This Imperial India Pale Ale pours a medium orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is floral, fruity and citrusy. A medium bodied double IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet, orange and pineapple. The hops are grapefruity and citrusy. Lots of sweetness. Lots of hops. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

A bright amber colored beer with a small, foamy textured white head rising above. It has good retention, settling eventually into a medium sized ringlet. The nose is bold, citric hops and sweet, buttery malt. Tasting mirrors but not intensely. Actually, in a light-medium, well carbonated body, this is a good IPA

another winning hoppy brew from the boys at Knee Deep. While playing with Hopstar pre-production, there were versions approaching this. chewy, sticky hops, sweet malt, with a really cool buttery flavor and aroma in addition to intense citrus and pine. very nice IIPA while watching the G-men dismantle the Falcons :) 2/17-wow, REALLY short shelf life. that sucks...
