Brewed at Brouwerij De Graal (Brakel, Belgium) Tasting Notes Visual: Pale light yellow and cloudy with a creamy head. Aroma: Fresh yuzu aroma is dominant, matching well with the yeast-derived phenolic aroma. Flavor: Low-level malt and hop flavor, as well as a slight bitterness. Subtle fresh sour creates richness in taste. Body: Full bodied, with a low level of natural carbonation that is created in the bottle-fermentation process and provides a very smooth drinking experience.

A little confusing. It’s a Japanese brewer, brewing a Belgian Ale, and in Belgium. Originally thought this was a stronger Japanese style imperial pilsner or something, but fits the Belgian Ale profile. Flavors of banana, Beglian yeast, maybe some coriander/pepper or other mild spice. Clearish medium yellow appearance. Semi-smooth feel. Solid beer.

Pours clear solar yellow with a thick and frothy snow-white head. Aroma has firm fruity and yeasty notes with hints of malt and butterscotch. Flavor has stronger tones, pear and banana plus butterscotch, yeast and sweet malt, as well as more than a hint of hops - and an herbal touch. Mouthfeel has firm body and good fizz. Gotta love it when Belgians and Japanese collaborate.
