At J.T.'s I've occasionally ordered up a mixed mug of Rich's Rauchbier and Black Diamond Porter. Now they've brewed their own coherent version. The body is an amber-tinged dark brown with a large, foamy, tan head providing good lacing. The nose finds reserved smoky malt; mouthfeel is full and round. A nice roasted malt backbone with a robust but not excessive smokiness and mild hop bitterness.
