12 oz can. Pours hazy golden orange with a big creamy off white head that retains well and leaves little lacing.
The aroma is sweet crystal malt with piney grassy hops and some fruit.
The flavor is sweet, slightly fruity, biscuit malts with lots of grassy piney hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.
Overall, OK DIPA. -

A bright orange-sunshine in color with a big sudsy textured off whiye head rising above. There’s some hang time. Lots of film and thick ringlet Nice nose of citrus and piney hops with orange, mango, lemon zest and some biscuit. Taste follows the aromas well. Mandarin, orange peel, mango, pine sap, bread, biscuit, floral and pepper. Oily, slick, medium body with moderate effervescent. A bitter resinous finish.

What the hell, one more review to make 600. I haven't done one of these in a while...My friend picked up a 6'er of these from one of his road trips. It is a pretty balanced IIPA, but there is way too much alcohol burn. The few flavors that rise through it are pine/citrus (pineapple hops and a tad of caramel in the finish. But it burns...oh how it burns...Best part is the look of it in my Yellow Submarine pint glass: spot-on reddish orange with a nice foam on top that sadly disappears really quickly.

Picked this bomber up to enjoy while walking down Las Vegas Blvd. If you are looking for a big beer to get you messed up, this would work. If you are looking for an artfully crafted hoppy double IPA, this is the wrong choice--this is a big, boozy mess of a beer; any other nuances are lost behind the alcohol burn.

balanced thick aroma of somewhat aged hops and carmely malt. good body. a touch thick, smooth. covers the abv well. taste hoppy, citrus, sweet malt. decent finish. i cannot freakin beleive i had a decent JJ beer. This place had 5 drainpours and a sad excuse for an RIS in the first six i tried. this is by far the best. I know that's not saying a ton...Pliny it is not...but damn, it's not drainpour. Yay!!
