The rating for this beer is very subjective. I have never had alcaholic ginger beer before, even though my dad used to tell fond stories of mixing (non-alcaholic ginger beer)? with real beer for something called a shandy. Anyway, this beer isnt bad with a very strong ginger taste but not much else. If you like ginger ale, It ain't bad

In giving this beer a few 6's I dont mean to imply its by any means 'average' - quite the opposite its hardly even beer. Strong ginger taste, well nothimg but a strong ginger taste. Small aroma - ginger dominated. Over carbonated. Who can tell its not ginger ale? I suppose it kinda IS ginger ALE - ah haha.
But seriously, though it will obviously appeal to a small some, Id assume most would agree with me thats this beer is not very tasteful. Not that what defines a good beer is the consensus of a majority, hell no thats not the case, but what I mean to say is this beer was not very tasteful, and not an idea that works all that well as a beer type. It lacked alot of the essence of what constitutes an enjoyable beer drinking experience. -

people in canada between the ages of 28 and 40 might remember a pop called "golden cockerel ginger beer". that's what this tastes like. it gets 10 for aroma, as one could not mistake that smell, but if i wanted canada dry, i would have gone to the corner store. final grade: F

Poured a yellow colour with some head that dispersed quickly and left minimal lacing. I noticed no aroma and no taste either. Mouthfeel was bland and empty. The bottle was quite cool looking, I'll admit that. Perhaps I will try it again, maybe I had a bad bottle, but until then this is getting a poor rating...

Anyone who likes "Ginger Ale" will love this!! The pour is quite carbonated that leaves a very creamy head. It has a crisp golden colour. The smell is quite strong, similar to "Ginger Ale" and the same goes for the taste.

Came in the trendoid 33cl Aluminum bottle. Poured into a pilsner flute we see a pale yellow fizzy looking beer with a small white cap that reduced quickly...some lace. Vegetal aromas in the nose, bit of sweetnes and a wisp of ginger spiciness. Very spritzy-dry palate, light bodied beer with hardly detactable malt...it is hopped well and the finish produces a lemony-ginger burst then a clean end with no after taste. Not much there for the high price tag. Not bad for its intended market...I suppose probably an upscale, younger, summer patio party, light spritzer drinking throng will embrace this fortified ginger beer in the flash packaging.

clear golden colour, few foam but a correct lacing, lemon and ginger aroma, medium to high carbonation, sweet and light-bodied with a watery finish - very poor

Aluminium bottle: Poured a clear yellowish ale with a medium white foamy head with good retention. Aroma of light ginger with some malt also noticeable. Taste is surprisingly quite weak with some subtle ginger, weak malt and a watery finish. What a disappointment, absolutely boring…

My first Bière de Garde experience ! I bought this at the LCBO on Rideau in Ottawa, Ontario. Comes in a very cool aluminium bottle with some funky paint over it. Pours a golden colour with lively carbonation. The small head creates some good lacing after its quick fall. Mmmm.... the aroma of ginger really stands out with hints of grainy malt. The mouthfeel is creamy and smooth. Its taste is very close to the pop drink ginger ale, with a metallic finish and a long smooth ginger aftertaste. Quite expensive for a brew, but worth it being a good different spiced bière de garde.
