Caged-corked 750ml bottle decants a clear golden ale with a sticky tight pored white cap. Lively effervescence. Aroma is clean and pleasant – fruity, grainy some grassiness. Medium-light body, crisp dry character, slick mouth feel. Flavor profile grainy fruity tones up front turn a bit more complex mid palate as the hops are detected with some sweet-sour fruitiness like a pear cider – goes to a long mellow lightly bitter/tart finish with a hop kiss at the finish…………………………. I had been putting off reviewing this one until I had time to sample it a few times and make a decision as to how I liked or disliked a commercial (but well made) filtered Belgian blonde ale as opposed to the proper unfiltered variety. I must say that although this is not as rich and complex as unfiltered blondes it is exceedingly drinkable. Fresh, bright, fruity, mellow, well rounded, hides its alcohol well – I prefer this to Duvel

A recent find at the LCBO. Very similar to the La Chouffe also available at the LCBO right now. A yeasty blonde ale with alcohol definitely presnt in the aroma and flavour. Next time I'll choose the La Chouffe.

The beer poured a translucent light gold colour with no head. The aroma is grainy malt, and light fruits. The mouthfeel is crisp, medium bnodied, with medium carbonation. The flavour is grainy malt, yeast, and alcohol.
