Jdub’s Brewing of Sarasota has a lot to celebrate. Since their opening in February, JDub’s has collaborated, crafted the pillar of their core lineup (Up Top! IPA), and continuously added new beers to their tap room. Now, Jdub’s is making a big move and canning their Up Top! IPA for Sarasota and Manatee counties. According to a statement from JDub’s owner Jeremy Joerger, “I’m amped to tell you that as early as next week, Up Top! will be available in cans in select stores, primarily in the Sarasota and Manatee counties (for now).”

Pours hazy golden with a nice eggshell head. Aroma offers firm piney and malty hops with citrus and tropical fruit in supporting roles. Flavor delivers the piney hops and fruity notes the aroma promises, along with some fresh malt. Mouthfeel presents average body and some fair fizz. Get up top - but if you get too "up top," please call a cab.

Another new local IPA. Been testing as many as I can to discover which new breweries may stand out in this area. These guys from Sarasota certainly brew a good one. Sort of resemblance of the FL-style IPA, on the maltier side, yet decently hopped. Has some of those citrusy/grapefruit West Coast flavors, but holds that East Coast feel. Grew on me with each sample. Will probably be blended in as one of the regulars for me.

A deep murky orange colored beer with a big frothy textured off white head rising above. There's good hang time on the head. A moderate ringlet and persistent cap are left. An note of sweet oranges in the nose. An astringent citric balances well with that fruited sweetness in a refreshing very good effervescent beer
