Comes out of the growler a deep coffee brown that lets in a smidgen of daylight at the bottom and has a fairly thick, fine-bubbled light tan head. Roast malt aroma has notes of caramel, fig and coffee. Lip-smacking flavor echoes the notes of the aroma, only with a little more fig and a little more coffee. Hey, I am developing a liking for figs! Texture is smooth and pleasant, fairly fizzy if not too thick. Never mind figgy pudding, bring us the figgy beer!
