Chestnut red session ale with a nutty aroma, toasted caramel hints and a deep malty palate. Our native Red Squirrel is fast in decline, and purchasing this beer will help to support the efforts of various organisations and their work to research and monitor the survival rates of Red Squirrels. Nose: An Alluring nutty aroma. Followed-up by Toasted malt, toffee, and faint hint of aniseed. Palate: Follows the nose. Toasted malt, burnt toffee, and the liquorice flavouring is prevalent. Some light floral hops linger to produce a welcomed bitterness. Appearance: Pours a dark chestnut shade, with a white head. Finish: Body is medium, oily texture with an ever so slight carbonation. Comments: Very drinkable bitter – the malty flavours with a slight touch of hop creates a thoroughly enjoyable session beer.
