The grandfather of weizen beers, this full-bodied ale is made with 45% wheat, which contributes a slightly fruity, malt flavor. Flavor is dominated by the bready malt character and the expected banana and clove flavors from the yeast.

Had this today at lunch and boy am I tired. I didn't realize it was 7.2%. Light brown color with a good head. Citrus and banana aroma with a hint of spice. Medium-light body. Easy to drink. Pretty good.

Poured a hazy brown color with a thin, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of bananas, citrus, berries, nuts, and caramel malt. Taste of more caramel malt, light smoke, nuts, tart citrus, light wheat, wood, banana, and light hops, such as cinnamon. Faint hoppiness in the background.
