Bock Weisse from Innstadt is a one of a kinda as far as I can tell. There are many bock and dopple bock weiss biers, but this is the banana nutbread of biers, the color, aroma, and taste is banana nut bread! Rocky long lasting head, lacing, go to Passau and have a few. Several other biers as well check out the website- www.Innstadt.de

Poured a tawny brownish color with a flat head and no lacing. The aroma was caramel and brown sugar, some cardboard. The flavor followed the aroma and not in a good way, a caramel mess of a train wreck, some brown sugar, sweet and sugary with some wheat notes, lacking spicing or anything to break up the stickiness. A pretty poor example of the style.

This weizen bock pours a medium brown color from a 50cl swing top bottle. Large sized white foamy head, with good retention and nice lacing. The aroma is caramel and sweet, with some brown sugar, banana and yeast. A medium bodied weizen bock. The malts are fruity, caramel and sweet. A touch of banana and yeast. The hops are earthy and spicy. Lively carbonation. A nicely balance, slightly too sweet weizen bock. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.

I would give this bier higher marks in the quality compared to others, but have never had weiss or any other bier that is comparable in flavor. Damn near a novelty, here is a bier for those who have come to believe the lie there are no off the unique brews in Deutschland, and all the off the wall stuff is in Belgi. The city of Passau where the bier is from is top notch, go there and drink, as you won't find this in the states. While there, several brewing delights await, but those are other reviews!
