Inlet Brewing has launched it’s second bottle offering in Florida, Monk IPA. After years of recipe tweaking their IPA is now available in 6-packs. Monk IPA originally debuted at the Jupiter Craft Brewers Festival in 2010 as a much higher in alcohol version of the now sessionable IPA and has been available regularly on draft in 2013. “Monk IPA is a hop forward Belgian inspired India Pale Ale. Copious amounts of the freshest American hops deliver an array of citrusy, piney, tropical flavors and aromas balanced by the distinctive Belgian strong yeast. 6.0% ABV” Inlet Brewing is based in Jupiter, Florida and contract brewed at Thomas Creek Brewery in Greenville, South Carolina.

This one is better than Monk In The Trunk. Doesn't quite have that Belgian IPA taste or feel. Maybe mildly, but almost seems like a West-Coast style. Decent citrus and hops. Not as fruity as many of the IPAs from FL. Has a clear light yellow/orange appearance. Only grabbed a single to sample, but I'd grab a 6 in the future.

A bright orange-yellow in color with a huge frothy textured off white head rising above. There's good hang time settling into light dusting of film and thin ringlet. A light citric nose. In taste, this is a session ale. light citric and heavier bready malt. Light medium bodied and smooth
