Julehvede (Christmas Wheat) is reddish as dark amber and has a fine, smooth maltflavour. The beer has a fine balance between cinnamon and a light spiced sweet with a touch of cloves. Julehvede is full bodied and is perfectly suited for the traditional Christmas Lunch or Christmas Eve dinner. A smooth beer that taste like christams smells. Julehvede is brewed on 6 different malts. The beer is to be served at 6 - 8 celcius in a hefeglass, so aroma and head is perfectly displayed.

November 2012: Shared 500 ml bottle from Vinmonopolet, at Cardinal Yule beer tasting. Surprisingly dull aroma, no sign of the typical wheat beer notes, just some dust. The flavour is somewhat better than the aroma, sweetish notes, hints of cloves and banana. Very far from a great beer though, the most inferior I’ve had from Indslev.

Bottled. Hazy orangeish golden colour with mediumsized slightly off-white head. Aroma is dry wooden along with some mild caramel, toffee, spices, wheat and citrus fruits. Flavour is quite much the same, but the wheat and citrus is much stronger. Mild pale syrupy notes as well.
