Hvedebock offers a soft body dominated by dark malt, spicy aroma, and fruity vinousity. Hvedebock is great for a cool summer evening on the terasse, or a evocative fall day at the fireplace. Enjoy it accompanying cheeses, oven braised game, or stews made of beef. Hvedebock is brewed from generous use of barley- and wheat malts. Hvedebock should be served at cellar temperature. Pour the beer in a huge glass and give it time to develop. Shake the last 10-15 ml. before pouring.

500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 8.0%. Cloudy very dark brown colour, large tan head. Nice aroma of brown malts, bakery and banana split, a hint of cloves. The flavour is refreshing for its strength, notes of brown malts, brown bread, spices and banana, hints of chocolate, very moderate hops. The alcohol is well hidden. Good beer!

Pours out in an opaque dark brown colour with a rich sticky off-white foam. Malty aroma of yeast, dough, fudge, caramelized banana, wheat and almonds. Medium to full-bodied with notes of doughy yeast, milky chocolate, almonds paste and fudge. Yeasty finish of berries, dough, toffee and mild spices. Quite shy for a Weizen Bock but still quite well-made.
