This IPA is a classic example of an India Pale Ale. In lighter proportions, we use the same English crystal malt and wheat malt. In addition we add Carapils malt for a light toasted flavor. It is slightly sweet with a malty aroma and lighter yeast ester aromas than the Red. It is hopped with Chinook for an aggressive, though not overpowering bitterness. We use Willamette in the middle, with Mt. Hood and Cascade hops at the end of the boil for the floral/citrus hop aroma characteristic of an Indian Pale Ale.

a little better balance than the pale (more malt), but the hops are stronger too...and just a touch too bitter. overall, an aromatic, but just ok, effort.

Nice copper pour with a floral slightly bitter nose. Nice full mouthfee with great hop/malt balance. This is a great session drinker and one I keep on hand as an everyday brew.

A very cool looking redish tinted brew. Average on the head. Has a solid hoppy aroma with a citrus background. Hoppy ,bitter, pink lemondad/grapefruit hints. I like it, what else can I say.

This IPA pours with an amber body topped by a medium thick head with some lacing. Weak aroma with a little sweetness and a touch of hops. Just not good. The flavor is weak too. A little sweet yet bitter and well balanced. Not a whole lot of hop character. Light to medium bodied, smooth and a touch dry.

Not as big as alot of IPA’s Ive had recently but I will accept the change. A well balanced beer with a good hint of malt. Some oranges and grapefruit present in the flavor. This one is bent a bit sour but still nice and bitter. A good one.

A classic IPA from one of the premiere brewers in the United States. A little off, but good, flavoring from the use of a different type of hops used.

ah yes, the oh so lovely grassiness that is IPA...reddish amber with a creamy tan head, Grapefruity hop start, the sweetness of the malts nicely balances the hop characteristics ending in a beautiful and well-balanced sweet grapefruit/hoppy finish, Great IPA
