Named for the island in the delta, this beer is brewed with just over 30% Rye Malt for a distinctly dry rye bread character with a hint of roasted flavors. A blend of Challenger, Santiam, and Liberty hops provides a spicy aroma and, as always, is a bit too much for the style. Served unfiltered 'cause I said so.

Light gold color, slightly hazy. Medium head. Aroma is fruity and spicy. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are spicy and floral. The 30% rye malt adds a nice spiciness to the hop/malt profile. Nice rye ale, the rye is subtle enough that you know it is there, but it doesn’t whack you in the taste buds. Nice smooth flavor. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
