Smooth, hearty Oktoberfest lager beers have been made for centuries to welcome the harvest season. In Bavaria, brewers would save their best grain & hops to brew their Oktoberfests for celebrating the coming of Fall and the start of the new harvest. This cherished tradition is captured in Hoppin’ Frog’s rich and hearty amber-colored Oktoberfest lager. Taste the tradition!

    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 10 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9

Pours clear copper with a thick and fairly persistent buff head. Aroma brings toasty malt, caramel, crisp apple and hoppy tones. Flavor generates scrumptious toasty malt, apple, caramel, piney hops, a citrus hint. Texture rounds it out with decent smooth body and peppy fizz. If not the best Oktoberfest I've had, one of the top five!

650 ml bottle, kindly shared by our beerpal Ole Anders. ABV is 7.3%. Cognac-coloured beer, moderate white head. Moderate aroma, hints of caramel, butterscotch, malts and dust. Flavour of caramel malts and butterscotch. Too sweet. Minimal hops.
