Strong aroma has a strong spicy overtone, mainly cinnamon, with pumpkin and subtle malty tones as well. It pours a pretty clear amber with a thick, fluffy, fairly persistent white head. Flavor is malty and spicy with a nice pumpkin-pie overtone and a hint of caramel. Texture is rather fizzy, leaving a spicy finish and a tingle that hangs around for a little bit. This is an excellent autumn beer, perfect for Halloween or Thanksgiving!

Pours out a amber color with a whisp of a head. The aroma is just like a pumpkin pie cooking. The mouthfeel is solid but not thick. The taste is all spices. This is the heaviest pumpkin beer out of about 20-25 I've tried.is is by far the best tasting with the most spice.

I found this similar to Terrapin's Pumpkinfest, which is one of my preferred pumpkin ales. This has a little more spice and strength to it.....a tad sweeter too. Not a fan of this style, but these are two that I can drink. Only sample a small amount in flight, but I could have a full sample of this. Pricey though.

Well done spices and a nice full bodied warming ale. Cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, brown sugar and even some vanilla, along with pumpkin. Light in color but creamy and smooth. Well above average for the style, just short of the elites.

Orange colored beer with fizzy head, a bit too fizzy. Light but spicy nose. Flavor is almost apple cinnamon because it burns with so much ginger, clove and cinnamon. Body is a bit too light to carry all these flavors but all in all still a decent fall brew to sample. Warming it up a couple of degrees doesn't hurt either.

An orange amber colored beer. A small soapy textured white head rises so disappointly brief above. There's no lacing either. THe nose and tasting profile lean a bit too much to cloves and ginger. Burn brown sugar makes the three aromas combined a little disconcerting. I'll drink this light bodied, nearly watery beer, but not again

22oz bottle. Pours a clear golden orange with a small white head that quickly goes t a thin collar.
The aroma is sweet pumpkins, floral perfume, and some spices (ginger, nutmeg?).
The flavor is sweet pumpkin pie with a good amount of spices (nutmeg) and a little weird plastic/metallic bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and a bit watery.
Overall, a decent pumpkin beer. I remember liking this a lot more on tap at GABF - at that point it was one of my favorite pumpkin beers. Not sure if I got a bad bottle, or if it's just better on tap, or if I had a few too many at GABF by that point, but this is just OK. It's a bit flat and overly sweet with some off notes. -

Poured from a bomber with zero head. The color was that of a pumpkin, so it had that going for it. It's probably partly my fault that I had this beer in my head as going to be great due to the fact that the other Hoppin' Frog Beers have been rock solid. Pumpkin beers are hit and miss. This beers aroma was that of your normal pumpkin spices with a touch of sweet liquor at the end. I was expecting more flavor from a "double" pumpkin. This basically tastes like a weak Oktoberfest with pumpkin spices that were thrown in at the very end. Maybe next year :S

22oz bottle, received in trade with cking/kinger (thanks Cory) -
Aroma - ginger/mint aroma that dominated this beer during it’s duration. Nothing but a few whiffs of all-spice seemed to escape. Reminded me of Mint Kaopectate unfortunately.
Appearance - beautiful copper orage body with a dense, creamy dirty white head
Taste - the mint/ginger taste shows up, so does some light pumpkin flavor (all spice mostly) with light-medium malt sweetness. Alcohol seems to show up at room tem.
Palate - medium bodied, smooth with a light warm finish
Overall - not sure if I could drink this whole bottle. Half was enough and shared the other half with my brother. Hard to get past the mint.
