Basically, this beer is an Ice Wit: Witbier brewed, some of the water froze and removed, then BAM! a wicked concoction of a prototype that Bearden Beer Market was lucky enough to get a keg of - thanks to Steve from Highland Brewing. Beautiful clear light orange-mostly yellow pour with a thinnish head, nice moderate amount of lacing. Spicy and fruit estery aroma, a bit of black pepper, clean citrus, a touch of banana, near-coriander, wheats and malts. Taste is also citrusy-spicy: a touch of tropical fruits, bananas, coriander-ish and pepper, warming zing from the alcohol. Didn't get around to asking Steve from Highland about the ABV: but it was fairly significant according to my palette. Damn good "Ice Wit" - very nice to try some experimental beers. Kudos to Highland for being open-minded.
