Pours a cloudy yellow body with a small creamy head. Aromas show lots of light fruity esters and yeasty phenols. Pears, bananas, spicy cloves, doughy yeast and sweet malt also show through. The doughy notes continues through as flaovurs along with loads of sweet caramel and toffee malt, some spicy cloves hang around, but the friuts are nowhere to be found. The alcohol is quite noticeable in the finish along with a mild by unpleasant bitterness.

This Belgian quad pours a slightly hazy orange gold color from a 330ml bottle. Extremely large white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet, yeasty and biscuity. Medium bodied quad. Malts are fruity and sweet. Yeasty and bready. Smooth taste. Touch of alcohol bite. Clean taste once you get past the huge freekin head. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and sooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

This beer was quite bad. I do take into account that it's probably well past it's prime. But I've had beers that were past their prime still be outstanding. Still, this beer just had way too much of a metallic character to be anything that a near drainpour. Lot's of irony, metallic notes in the nose and palate. This, with a funky aftertaste of rotted veggies makes this something I doubt I'll revist unless I know I have a fresh bottle.

This will conclude my tasting and journey through this brewer's beer. The aroma is very nice and sweeter than the others with some nice fruity overtones like plums and pears with maybe some wheaty aromas as well as organic and is a bit bitter as well. The appearance is a nice golden-amber to orange with some slight haze with an enormous head on top that is very carbonated and bubbly and an off-white in color and remains on top only settling just a bit. The mouthfeel is full and round as well as thick and complex with some nice piney balance with a palate that is rather thick and wet considering the ABV%. The flavor is tasty and sweet with some floral overtones as well as apples, plum, and pear with an aftertaste that is a bit bitter and almost hoppy which is intriguing and has some orange spritz and lemon with a finish that is full-bodied and rather smooth with some sweetness as well as bitter and is very nice with not much of an alcohol bite at all. Overall, a very nice brew here as well as round and balanced nicely and is smooth as well as creamy to some extent; not a bad offering at all. This brewery makes some quality, as well as solid, Belgian ales but by no means make the best examples of this legendary style of brew.

Pours a very foggy (unfiltered) blonde colorwith a very fluffy white head that left a nice lace. Aroma is light fruits and spices. I detect a bit of citus. Flavor is *way* too metalic. WTF? This is my second sampling from this brewery and both were metalic. Other than that this is a decent beer. I’m half way through it and it’s still got the aftertaste. Palate is decently crisp and carbonated, but nothing special. Overall, I’m hoping I have a bad one as this is far from special.

Cloudy amber. Good head. Mandarin orange juice and spruce. Celery. Flavor is a bit sharp. Is this hoppy? This is a spicy beer, but the sharpness doesn’t quite hit the spot.

Bottled. Hazy orange colour, mediumsized white head. Hoppy fruity aroma. Bitter sourish flavour of fruit and hops. Quite boring...

Split this one with Chopz in Quebec city. Pours a light mango like colour with a creamy off-white head that has average retention. Lots of small reddish particuls float around near the mid/bottom area of the glass. Aroma reminds of wine, with some spices. Mouthfeal is slighlyt carbonated and very smooth. As for the flavor found it to be strong on the banana side which almost gave it a bubble gum type flavor. In all an interesting beer that I wouldn't mind trying again at some point.

Sampled from the big 750ml green wine bottle at the Pub St. Alexandre in Quebec City. Pours a beige-amber colour with an off-white head. A small creamy coating tops the brew throughout. Many tiny particles are at the lower part of the glass. The aroma is mild with yeast, light fruit (like apples) and some spices. Mouthfeel is dry and a bit pasty. Starts off strong with the taste and then goes very smooth. Raisins are predominant with a touch of apples. Notes of caramel are in the aftertaste. A very smooth strong beer which is very pleasant if you like the raisin taste in beer. I am not one of those, but I still enjoyed this one overall.
