Type: Traditional southern German wheat beer. Description: Our Organic wheat beer is brewed according to traditional southern German method. The special characteristic gærsmag and creamy mouth feel is evident. The yeast is the primary flavoring and add fruit flavor to the beer. Taste of wheat comes through clearly and also gives a wonderful softness. We spent half barley malt and half wheat malt best organic quality. The color is nice yellow, and the scent is delicate fruity. Uses: Organic wheat beer is perfect as an aperitif. For food fits very nicely with the dishes of fish, shellfish and chicken. Since Organic wheat beer is not bitter, it is a perfect companion to light meals.

500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet. Brew #432. ABV is 5.6%. There has been a recipe change for this beer, it is now a German-inspired Hefeweizen, not a Belgian-inspired Witbier as before. The recipe now seems to be much the same as their ordinary Hvedeøl, only with organic ingredients. Some sediment in the bottle. Cloudy pale yellow colour, huge white head. Distinct spicy aroma of cloves, also hints of banana and citrus. Refreshing flavour, not very sweet, notes of cloves again, hints of banana. Moderate hops. Highly drinkable.
