A crisp blonde lager brewed with Pale and Caramel malts as well as Cascade hops, for a rich golden color and smooth distinctive taste. Winner of a prestigious World Beer Cup Gold Medal (American Style Amber Lagers) in its very first year, 2002. Golden blonde color with deep yellow hues. Deliciously malty hoppy taste with moderate bitterness and body.

Rating from 2002. Med gold color, medium head. A medium bodied lager. Mild malts and hops, yet very flavorful. Very smooth taste. Very refreshing. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet, nearly neutral. Nice beer.

Pours beautifully with a with a nice amber head which doesn't linger for long. The aroma doesn't strike one with force and has no offending "skunky" smell. It has a very smooth feel and the flavor is as good as any lager available in the state I live in (Utah). I absolutely love this beer and highly recommend it to everyone I think would enjoy a great bottle of brew!

crisp, yes, but that's all there is to it. a boring example of a usually boring style. not much more is expected of Weinhard's, but still... i can pass this one easily.

Pours a beautiful golden/amber colour with a decent sized white foamy head that disappears very quickly. Aroma was mostly of sweet malt with a touch of hops. The taste is not great and is mostly malt. Overall not very good.

Yowee! What formidable head this one has, springing forth from the bottle with at least five fingers' worth of foamy ivory froth. It did fall away rather quickly, but at least left a smallish trail of lace behind, on top of a nice gold colour. Now for the sad part. Aroma was slightly sweet, but didn't really suggest anything else. Dang! The initial taste was not inviting, maybe a bit sour, but not skunky or 'off'. Aftertaste was rather like paper, with a just okay mouthfeel albeit on the thin side. I did NOT like this one.
