Our porter is a dark ale brewed from selected highly kilned varieties of malt, including chocolate malt and carafa. These malts impart a deep mahogany colour, and lend rich flavours of chocolate, coffee, and mocha to the mid palate. A variety of hop known as Goldings, which are grown in the East Kent district of England add further complexity to this ale, contributing bitterness at the end of the palate. This mid to full bodied ale accompanies char grilled red meat perfectly, as well desserts including baked cheesecake and tira mi su.
