Two bottles of the 1994 vintage courtesy of dpflanzer, wow, thanks again David. Pours still with hazy amber body. The aroma is full and complex and tough to describe. I seem to be getting smooth cherry fruitiness, earthiness, sugared lemon wedge tartness and rotting wood. The taste begins with a shiv of tartness followed up by blended and smoothed over cherry fruitiness that becomes earthy, wet cement, herbal and vegetable. Very nice experience. Again huge thanks to David for holding on to these for well over a decade and sharing with us.

Greatly soured cherries with an amazingly tart sensation. Blended nicely and exceptional. Fruity with a mild sweetness, light bodied. Red colored body with a pink head.

nice cherry tinged brick red, but no head though not flat. aroma of both sweet and sour cherries and some barnyard funk. feel is tingly and acidic. flavor pops, lip smackingly tart and sour, but the cherry is not to be a background player. nice balance and close to a 10 flavorwise.

Hulking wet sour blanket fragrance. Good tingly carbonation. Wonderful biting sour attack on the palate. Fruity tart and farmmy. Certainly not your run of the mill fru-fru sweet fruity lambic. Gratifying and fulfilling. No unsavory linger what so ever. Dirty clouddy red fun. Seems to have originated in the bottom of an old barn’s rain barrel. Delectable mouth puckering elegant zest.

Poured a hazy, reddish amber color that left no head or lacing on the glass. Aroma of leather, some citrus fruits, oak, horseblanket, cork, caramel malt, and a fair amount of phenols. Taste of tart green apple, malty, caramel sweetness, and an acidic, sour cherry finish. Moderate carbonation.

Poured a rich, earthy red, just like I'd imagined. Smelled of well, barnyard, cherries and thin maltiness. Vinegar notes poked through the acidity and well matched carbonation. As the beer warmed the mouthfeel grew more satisfying until it reached room temperature and the beer fell flat. A very nice brew, and I agree with JohnC, this would match great with a cheesecake

Bottled. Deep red colour with small brownish hints. Small head. Cherry in aroma, kind of bitterish. Dry bitter cherry in flavour. A bit alcohol in flavour too, very dry aftertaste.

Pours hazy ruby red with a thin head and low effervescence. Aroma is very tart and acidic. Mouthfeel is rather thin and bland. Flavor is definitely tart; a little too tart for my tastes. Extreme pucker factor. If you like sour stuff, this one is for you (just not for me, sadly). I would prefer a Lindeman's over this any day.
