Indulge yourself with the rich flavors of dark chocolate, coffee roast and a hint of vanilla. We use whole cocoa nibs along with chocolate malt in the brewing process to give this beer an intense chocolate flavor. Whole vanilla beans added directly to the fermenter help to enhance and add complexity to this beer. This strong porter is perfect for sipping on at the end of the day or as an accompaniment to big, full-flavored foods. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a real treat. Additional Information: This beer began life as our Panamanian Porter with the flavors of chocolate, vanilla and banana. A truly unique beer, we felt that all those flavors needed some smoothing out so we changed yeast strains and eliminated the banana flavor (Which came from the yeast strain). The Panamanian Porter did have many fans however, and there may be plans in the future to bring it back for a special occasion. Stay tuned…

Had much bigger hopes for this, especially as a near imperial strength brew, as H24 has been spot on so far. Easily the least favorite beer I've had from them so far. Thin for 8% and overly sweet, smells and tastes like a tootsie roll. Not entirely a bad thing, just a bit too artificial and sweet.

An "extra" Christmas gift from my wife - one that I was really looking forward to sipping. Bottle pour is brown with a little bit of carbonation and no head retention. Aromas of bakers chocolate and earthy grains, very appealing. Immensely thin mouthfeel for an 8% ABV brew, and unfortunately it ruins the experience. Flavors of dark chocolate, vanilla bean, wheat bread and faint nuttiness. It is very tasty but it is just too thin for a "strong" porter.
