Our traditional Weissbier A soft sparkling beer with an aromatic and mild character. The silky shine and intense golden yellow hue of our Weisse, topped off with a compact and creamy head of froth, is a truly magnificent sight. The yeast evolves gently to deliver a magnificently refreshing fruity and citrus note accompanied by a fine sparkling hint of acidity. The light sweetness of bananas and honey melt on the tongue and mingle with subtle and slightly more bitter notes of nutmeg. Only the best ingredients are used in our unfiltered Weissbier – brewer’s wheat grown in the Champagne Region and selected certified hops from the Hallertau. Thanks to a special brewing process this beer fulfils its promise and provides an excellent taste. Hacker-Pschorr has been brewing beer in the traditional Bavarian manner since 1417. The high-quality beers the brewery produces are all brewed in accordance with the Bavarian Purity Law and contain only water, malt, yeast and hops. The aroma is slightly pungent with a wheaty punch. The colour is a cloudy peachy colour. The mouthfeel is thick and fuzzy to the cheeks with mild carbonation. The taste is thick and wheaty as well. Not a beer I will go out of my way to try again.

A typical well made German hefeweizen. A hazed metallic gold in colour with a foaming white head that lingers to the last drop. A lot of wheat, bread, yeast, and banana in the aroma with some subtle clove notes. The flavour is a nice balance between the malty sweetness and the bitterness provided by the yeast and spice.

Bottle, pint. Home. A brown-orange beer ; light opaque ; big white creamy head ; good retention. No lacing. Aroma of banana, pear, clove, light biscuit, grain. Light sweet, light bitter, refreshing. Medium body, smooth texture, good carbonation, medium sweet spicy finish. Overall, a refreshing pleasant hefeweizen ; classic.

Can't believe I've never tried this... so, I bought a growler full! For Hootenanny 4. First growler opened for the day. (Noon-ish) Orange golden hazy pour with a tall bubbly white head leaving lazy lacing throughout. Requisite but extremely pleasant nose and palate of bananas, German yeasts, light spices and clove, light sweetness, wet wheat, good carbonation. Very well crafted Bavarian Hefe which I expected none the less. Great classic beer. Prost PfoxyJohn and Sam!

Comes out of the tap a beautiful, hazy, barely translucent dark amber with a fine-bubbled pale tan head. Wheaty aroma has an overtone of citrus, lemon and orange and a hint of yeast. Flavor has a wheat core with a strong citrus overtone and hints of yeast and even caramel. Smooth texture has good body and fizz, more body than most hefes I have tried. A superior and delicious hefe! Try it on tap if you can.

Darn good price for 500ml! Nice swingtop action too. Poured a thick generous amount of head, very foamy, a light brown hue (the head). The appearance is light amber, pretty hazy, can't see through. Wheaty/malty aroma with hints of banana and spices, but not too pronounced. Wheat is distinctive. Lightly hopped flavour, a bit of an orange tangy taste. Not too bad, pretty average really.

pours a nice clody golden orange body with a thick white head that quickly fades but a little remains ontop of the beer. The aroma is of a lot of hefeweizen yeast! The smell is super fruity and just really nice. There is also a bit of grain on the nose too. The taste is a perfect combination of of malt and fruity yeast. There is so flavor in this beer, but it is perfectly controlled. The mouthfeel is so smooth and just has a nice amount of crispness on the back of the throat. It does leave a full, dry feeling in my mouth.

This beer was so-so. I am hardly the expert on heffes as they are about as far from my favorite style as possible. That being said, this one was palatable and sat plenty well with me.

It pours a solid copper with a fairly thick white head and lacing climbing up the glass. An aroma of banana bread, bubble gum, wheat malts, orange and citrus blend, and subtle spiciness. The mouthfeel is a little thin. Flavors of bready wheat malts, light hops, citrus, banana bread, light bubble gum, and light spiciness. Mmmm...

No one else seems to have picked up on what I feel is this beers best selling trait. It does have characteristic stuff, especially for a german hef, banana, yeast, clove, orange zest, lemonyish, touch sweetish, but maybe my imagination. Good head, but the best part of this brew is the body/mouthfeel, it just envelopes, is thick, perhaps even creamy. tottaly into the feel, but otherwise pretty regular. Better than most american hef's, on par with most germanic ones. That said, really not much of a germannic style beer fan at all....

Nice hazy, honey-coloured liquid with a generous off-white head. Moderate carbonation. The aroma reminds me of cross-country skiing as a child...like the resin wax. Also smells somewhat smokey to me. Nice mouthfeel, a taste of cloves/spice and a smooth finish. Okay, but not my favourite...even of the few I've tried so far.
